Alclad II match to TS-76?

I'm thinking of building the Xanavi Z and was curious if I could substitute accurately an Alclad II color (aluminum, polished aluminum, etc) for the TS-76? Has anyone tried this? Just curious...

Thanks!

Daniel

I would stick with Tamiya because a car's body is painted and looks different than bare metal which is what Alclad represents. Take a look at a real silver car and you will see what I mean.

Yeah, I was just curious to see if it would work. Yeah, I'm cheap! I'd rather use what I have already than pay $6 for more rattle cans!

Spring for the TS-76 paint, it covers well so it's actually cheaper in some ways than the Alclad (you'll only need one can) and more importantly, it matches the decals color and won't stain as the Alclad will when you apply the decals.
But you do have to clear coat the Mica Silver to get a good shine, another thing you'll have problems with if you went with the Alclad... - Mark

I always clear and polish until my index finger can't take any more!
