2004 Envoy brakes
Just purchased. Shop says I need complete brake job. Figure easy enough to do myself. Problem is I'm finding difficulty locating the rear rotors. Wanted to do Raybestos all around but they don't make a rear rotor for it. Went to NAPA, neither do they. Could go with Autozone or Parts America brand parts but would rather not. Also don't want to spend $150+ on premo parts. I'm stuck. Anybody else have issues with this? TIA

Re: 2004 Envoy brakes
Anybody know what other model years utilize the same rotors? Perhaps I can locate that way.

Re: 2004 Envoy brakes
The XL ( not mentioned before) has different rotors. Try a dealer or have them resurfaced.

Re: 2004 Envoy brakes
I would definately check around more. Autozone, Murrays, Pep Boys, "somebody" has to have the XL rotors.
I did a full brake job on my 2002 Envoy (short wheel base) when I bought it (used) in 2004 w/64,000 miles on the clock. Bought rotors at my local parts store- they beat every price I found by 15%. I have replaced the pads 2x because they have a lifetime warranty through autozone, they were barely worn at all but I had spare time on my hands and it was free, so I figured what the heck Still on the original rotors I bought in 2004, no ridge yet! Thats pretty good in my book. Use a lot of synthetic calipber grease on the pins and contact points on the pads.
