01 aurora theft system fault

im gettin really pissed......all the ligfhts and radio turn on....but the car wont start.....it makes like a humming.. tickin noise...and everytime i try to turn the car on it says theft system fault.....i called gm...and they told be to go to my local buick dealer.....they printed me out a programming tehft detterent system component....but that didnt work....what could be the problem...i really need help....i have a 4.0
