1999 Sierra won't start for about 10 minutes

I have this problem occassionally where the truck won't start for about 10 minutes. Acts like there is no fuel but if you touch pedal you can smell it. Not sure if it could be security related problem or ignition module like other posts. I thought maybe I was pressing gas pedal by mistake and causing problem but pretty sure I didn't press it. It starts for a second but won't continue to run. 10 minutes later everything is normal? Any ideas.
Thanks,
Fred

I had a very similar problem in my Jeep. Took it to the mechanic, he said it the timing was off by a tad. Had the replace the timing chain and adjust the distributor cap. Maybe that could be your problem.
