eclipse 01 - what are these parts called?

Hi guys and gals,

I just got an 01 eclipse. It's in a good condition but there are two parts that I would like to replace and I don't know what they are called. I am all hope you guys can help out:

1. The arm rest cover [mine has a nasty stain that won't come out - looks like glue?].
2. The panel that is hinged behind the backseat and is also attached with strings to the trunk lid/hood [mine has the protrusions that fit into the hinges broken off and the strings are torn].

Thanks for the pointers. Center console lid and hatch cover. I've also found out that the latter is referred to as a 'Hatch parcel shelf'. And that I cannot find it for sale online.

You don't need a hatch parcel shelf at all unless you are hiding stuff in your trunk. You may try calling a junkyard and seeing if they can't pull one out for you

I do need it, as it serves as a sound barrier, and does so quite effectively. Also, the manufacturer put it there for a reason. And of course I don't leave my stuff in the passenger seat, that's just asking for trouble.

Have you tried looking on ebay? It's unreal how many parts I've found on there that people have said you can't find anywhere.

Well, the manufacturer put it there as an "option" for a reason...I cant stand the damn things so I "opted" not to get one. Dont want to come off assholeish, but it is not an important part of the car by any means.

really honestly, tint your windows if you are concerned about people seeing the dead bodies in your trunk. i can't see anything in mine and a little road noise gives the car some driving life. if you didn't want road noise you shoulda bought a cadillac.

Looking to buy the 'hatch parcel cover' or whatever it's called. Will vouch for last posts, though i don't care about road noise a whole lot, but people sitting in the back can't hear crap anymore, they're completely out of the conversation since i broke that thing dropping a heavy bag on it. soo, if anyone happens to be selling theirs, or doesn't care about road noise and wants to make a few $, i'll buy yours.
