piz help me 454

hi i have a 82 c10 with a 454 it is 4x4 and i was wonting to put a manual transmission in it what kind of transmission would work

You actually have an '82 K10. In the C/K series, C dentoes 2wd and K denotes 4x4. It is my understanding that any transmission that will fit behind a GM V8 will work (I think late '70-mid '90 are the same?) . With a big engine, you will want transmission designed for all that power. Just remember you will have to replace the flexplate with a flywheel, and you should lower the idle RPM the the manual specs.
