CD player and fuel gage error 2005 envoy

I have these to issues. One is that the fuel level gage is out of wack I fill up the gas tank and it jumps back and forth from empty to 1/2 full. does this sound like a computer reset problem or ?? Also my cd player error when reading a cd and ejects it this happen once before and dealer said all that was needed was a reset/flash of the radio (which they did) Is this something i can do manually ?

We just bought an 05 envoy ourselves, and we noticed soon after the gas gauge stayed on e and the light stayed on. The fuel sending unit was broke and had to be replaced. Obviously its a commom problem and it was a little pricey, lucky for us the used dealer was family which payed for it!

yes there is a reflash for the radio and that will fix it.also a bulletin for this problem.as for the gas guage it actually needs a fuel level sensor,and you can replace this without replacing the whole fuel pump.the level sensor can be seperated from the pump and be replaced.hope this helps.
