GTR discontinued

I was just wondering that if you guys knew that they are discontinuing GTR in Japan. Yes, that’s right no more GTR it’s gone so is Silvia, Supra and FD3S. All these beloved Japanese Supercars are gone.
Of course we got Skyline but no GTR.

Yes, we know. The Supra was discontinued in 1998, and the RX-7 in 2000 or thereabouts. The R34 Skyline family was discontinued last year, along with the S15 Silvia.

The GT-R will be back soon. That's what everyone's been talking about for the past year.

It's more of a case that the Silvia engine SR20det and skyline engine RB20 / RB25/ RB26 were being discontinued because they do not meet the new japanese emissions standards.

they decided to discontinue the models as well. But the skyline is back with a new engine (as the Infiniti G35 in the states)

And the GTR will be back with new shape and engine as well.

I am new to this forum so I didn’t know yall knew about that. Any way they didn’t discontinue it because of emissions there is more than that. Read about GENTLE MEN'S AGREETMENT. I guess you know about that too RIGHT?

The Supra was not discontinued in 98 as my friend has a 99 model. It was made in Japan until very recently (not sure but at least 2001)

The rx-7 was discontinued in 2002 after the bathurst and spirit R versions came out.

That Gentlemen's Agreement sucks man. I wish all manufacturers bypass it, whether legally, or illegally.

A lot of the Japanese supercars are destined to return, like the Supra (rumours), the RX7, a more powerful STi, even Mitsu want to make the 3000GT with a TT V8 450HP baby in it, but Chrysler dont let them. Even Honda have some sorta plans for the NSX (whatever they may be, hybrid or whatever).

Japan will be back with its supercars, you've just got to wait, but it is those damn emmissions that kill the cars.

Which R35 will the UK get?

Have you guys seen left hand drive R33 in modified mag. The person who has also sells kits to make GTR LHD.

To own a GTR is good enough but have one with LHD Its Wack.
