Re: 4g63 boost

Assuming completely stock, I wouldnt push it past 14-15 pounds.

Re: 4g63 boost

that is IF the motor is in good condition and your fuel is sufficient.

Re: 4g63 boost

15 psi is safer on a 2g than 1g due to the fact that we have more fuel pressure. I wouldn't go past 13 to be safe at least until you have the fuel to support it.

Re: 4g63 boost

The change in fuel pressure between the two models is irrelevant. The resulting AFR is what matters, and they should both be the same. The 2g has a bigger fuel pump however, which is noteworthy.

The original question is somewhat vague. The motor itself can take 35 psi, or whatever boost it takes to make ~550 whp. The question was mostly likely more about what the setup as a whole can run for boost. Just a pet peeve of mine...

Re: 4g63 boost

How much fuel/knock do you have because that is going to be your biggest hinderance.
And 14bs will run 12s with time and experience

Re: 4g63 boost

I wouldnt push it too much, cars are different. I would get a logger if you dont already have one and just log it and see how your doing.
