Exclamation Wipers don't park in their place.

Good day, I have a Silhouette 2001 and I like it too much but sometimes it shows some problems. It has 108,000 miles and last weekend the wipers didn't park behind the hood, so they're parked in upright place. They are working fine in all positions except in the OFF position. Can anyone help me out? I took it to my mechanic and he said it would be the wiper motor but I don't know about it.

Happy New Year.

This is a common problem with these vans and has been discussed at length in the past. Here are some links that might give you more information.

Good day.

Thanks to all for your help. I took your tips and my mechanic took out the cover of the wiper's motor and he cleaned it out a little bit. After that, it didn't work but after the first raining they were starting to work perfect.

Thanks again!
