decent price??? please help...

okay i went to my local proshop in richmond, VA called RPM

they said id expect to pay around 1000-1100 for a swap (b-16 into 90 hb)

is this too much should i get a diff. oppinion please help

they said they will install a b16 for $1100 into your car?? That cant be right. If their serious, go there tomorrow, give them the money and have them do it. Thats the best deal ive ever heard of.

oh no man that does NOT include the engine!!!

they said about 3k with the engine and total install,,,
im just talking about the installation here guys!!!

FUCK THAT! Were you at dude? I know one of the best shops in the bay area that will do it for $850-900 and there jobs are CLEAN! Here is there web site. www.modacar.com These guys are the next town over from me and kick ass!

That would be a hell of a hump from richmond to cali, coast to coast for an engine install. I think 3k would be pretty reasonable, its a little on the expensive side but its not outrageous. Ask if they have done the swap before and see if you can get some customer names so you can find out whether or not they do a good job...If they do a good job then it might be worth it.

Well you want to do the ol break in right? So when you get half way back you can chang oil and filter! Pluss, what a great excuse to come visit me and all the other west cost folks....

Well, that would be a pretty good excuse. However, after you figure in all your travel expenses 3k is looking pretty cheap in comparison. But it would be a real good excuse, I dont know about lowboy but I've never been to cali and have really been looking for an excuse to go.

you can prolly find a better place for 3 grand that will get engine all parts rebuild it with new parts and install it
