Exclamation Revell Germany kits 2008

Have a look!

http://www.modellversium.de/kit/artikel.php?id=3050

If they are really going to release a Neoplan Cityliner in 1:24, iŽd be very impressed!
Nice to see the 560SEC back again! What do you think?

Re: Revell Germany kits 2008

Interesting that they chose to re-release the 560SEC. What about the 750IL, 850i, etc.?

The 560SEC is a nicely detailed kit, but the tires are too small or the ride height is off.

I'm sure they'll reissue those at some point. Perhaps the MB requires less "freshening" to get back into production.

While the 850 would be nice (I've already built a 750IL) I'd rather see Revell AG figure a way to squirt plastic through their Corrado mold inserts which seem to fit no existing injection molding machine on the planet Yeah, I have one...but would love to have at least another for more serious fun.

Re: Revell Germany kits 2008

Uh, no more Audi's? I wanna have S5 :P

Some sportscars, racing cars etc... And one (rerelease) luxury sedan.. Meh, boring list. Revell should make some BMW's and other german cars, something fresh please.

Re: Revell Germany kits 2008

I certainly like that they re-issue the old Group-C-cars. This will be nice to have base kits for serious decal jobs and to build versions not really being seen that often.

Re: Revell Germany kits 2008

I expected them to issue Cope version of the Viper SRT 8 and the 55' Bel Air HT. Now I will have to make an overseas order to get them.

Re: Revell Germany kits 2008

As I am a fan of Michael Schumacher I would have really appreciated it if they had released the F2004 + F248
But I think I can wait long time until an affordable model of this exists, Studio27 are no choice for me, much too expensive.

Re: Revell Germany kits 2008

As always, everyone has their own list of "well instead, they really should have done a...."- but it seems like a pretty cool list. The re-re-release of the Fujimi 348 seems highly unnecessary, but the Schlingmann and Cityliner seem like two of the most unique subjects we've had in 1/24 in a long time. Maybe it will make the handfull of people who clamor for commercial kits happy.

I think the 348 on Revell´s list will be the Italeri kit again. So no curbside but engine detail.
But you´re right, no one needs this as long as you can get a Hasegawa instead.

I don´t see the need for another Schlingmann if they could convert their Atego-kit to something like this:

Sebastian (aka voyager) already mentioned this idea to the people from Revell at the "Intermodellbau" last year.
Would be great to see this.

Re: Revell Germany kits 2008

The cityliner would be very funny to build, it really changes of what we actually have on the market.
I imagine: Snoop dogg's 'Smoke up tour' coach with full tinted windows, playstation, screens everywherre, bitc... sorry girls dancing on poles, lowriders around the bus,... That would be a cool diorama
