Gigantour

first off, Happy New Year to you AFers.

It's been a while since the last Gigantour, but its back, with 3 less names on the ticket.

Megadeth
In Flames
Children of Bodom
Job for a Cowboy
High on Fire

Personally i see the return of Gigantour somewhat lacking. The number of bands in the previous 2 Gigantours allowed to compensate for crap bands that somehow made the ticket (like this year's Job for a Cowboy). I think that Gigantour should focus on what the headlining band is all about, Thrash metal. The first tour did it right by bringing along Nevermore. We'll see how this one goes, I'm still excited to see Megadeth. In Flames will be cool to see however I'm a fan of their much earlier work like Lunar Strain, Subteranean and Whoracle. CoB is whatever. They're talented, so it'll be cool to see, but i'm not a fan.

Dave Mustaine had this to say about this year's Gigantour:

what do you think of the lineup?

Re: Gigantour

I like this lineup. Sure JFAC is crap but the other four bands are solid and they'll get longer sets. Assuming I have the money and it comes relatively close, I'll hit this up for sure.
