1996 Svt Cobra

What do you guys think of a 1996 or 1997 SVT Cobra with 100K? I originally found the car for $7,500 but the owner said she's go down to 7 G's, but no less. This seemed, to me to be an excellent deal. I drove the car and was impressed with the power (and not to mention the throaty V8 sound), but I did notice an odd chirping sound when the car was in motion (could this be the spedometer cable?), and was a bit concerned. Any information or imput would be greatly appreciated.
