Re: A.b.s Blues

This sounds like a problem with the wheel speed sensor in one of the wheels. If one of the sensors is going bad it will cause the ABS to read falsely and cause the ABS to activate. This is probably why you get numerous codes when the car is being scanned while driven. There is a possibility that more than one sensor is gosing bad.

Red face Re: A.b.s Blues

AFTER HOOHING UP THE SCANNER TO IT TEN MINUTES OR SO THE SCANNER STARTS TO SPIT OUT ALL TYPE OF CODES AND AT THIS TIME THE ENGINE STARTS TO STALL OR CUTS OFF REPEATLY AND THEN ONLY THEN THE ABS LIGHT COMES ON BUT WHEN I DISCONNECT THE SCAN TOOL AND RESTART THE VEHICLE IT SEEMS TO BE FINE BUT THE CLICKING NOISE FROM THE BRAKE PUMP IS SILL THERE PRESSING DOWN ON TO THE BRAKES PEDAL OVER 20 MPH AND THERE ISN'T ANY ABS LIGHT ON DO YOU THINK IT COULD BE A BAD GROUND OR A BAD MAIN CONPUTER ?

Re: A.b.s Blues

It is very possible that you have a bad ground on the chassis or on the computer. I would check every ground you can find but start with the one from the battery to the engine block. The wire can internally corrode and cause issues even though it looks good on the outside. Also be sure to clean the terminals. As for the computer it could be bad but that would be the last thing to replace.
