Weird sound and poor performance 2000 5.4 eddie bauer

Recently I was driving back from work and when I stoped at lights my car started making really weird sound coming from underneath the car on driver side. It was like something was rubbing against spinning parts. Like someone was pressing some plastic or metal thing against spinning pulley. When I pressed the gas, car had really hard time accelerating and when I stoped the car again I've notice my RPM bouncing, plus car started shaking a little untill i put it in neutral. I didn't get CES light. I've driven the car all the way back home. The next day when I strted it it was fine, until I guess transmission/engine got warm. I've noticed that when shifting from reverse to drive sometimes it shifts really hard. Sound came back also the next day when i stopped at lights. I went on parking lot put it on park, I could still hear that sound. Than again it went away, and again when I stoped the car on traffic light, press the brake, car started shaking so I put it on neutral and than again put on drive. It stopped shaking and I was able to drive away. I came back home and I really have no idea what was that all about. Any help???

One more thing. My driveway is a little down the hill. When I put on rewerse and don't step on gas my car is rolling down the driveway forward. It wasn't like this before problems started.
