New injector does not turn on

New the forum but not to cars. OK my 90 s-10 with 2.5 TBI died on the freeway. Has Spark, fuel pressure through the throttle body is good. The new injector I installed does not turn on. 3 injectors in a week same thing. What am I doing wrong?

THe computer is new too.

assuming you replaced the first one for same problem, either there is a broken wire, or the ECM is bad.

I did replace the computer at the same time. That is what is puzzling me with the same kind that was in the S-10 when I got it.

Check voltage at the injector. With the ignition in the RUN position, the feed wire to the injector must have battery voltage. The ECM supplies the ground in pulses to open the injector.

I tested the plug to the injector with the key on with a test light. Got juice.

use ohmmeter check for bad wiring pcm to injector. check resistance of injectors.........no test lights. test lights are for checking light bulb circuits......

10-4 on NO bulb type test light on computer circuits.
However they make a injector testing noid light for checking for injector pulse to injector from VCM.
Most parts places will have one.
If you have injector pulse to injector and 12 volt power on one side the injector should squirt if proper fuel pressure.

I get fuel like a fountain to the throttle body. Checked that the first day. Also checked the fuses. Replaced ECM and injector. No spray?

Do you have injector pulse when cranking the engine?
Is fuel pressure 9-13 lbs?
Good hot spark to plugs when crakking?
Will it start with a shot of carb cleaner?

OK guys, now the key on the injector will spray but will not spray after that.I can get the truck to run with starting fluid. The computer is new. Is it defective? Is the injector bad?

For a injector to work you need to check it out.
Does it have injector pulse when cranking and proper fuel pressure?
