2002 Chevrolet Cavalier Headlamp Assembly bulb replacement
Having trouble trying to replace the bulb in the drivers side headlamp assembly.
I unscrewed the top 2 bolts to the assembly, but it seems to be held by the side lamp can't tell where it's connected? how do you separate the two? Thank |

Re: 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier Headlamp Assembly bulb replacement
pull straights towards yourself. There is a retaining tab holding it in place or separate the lights from side markers by the clip.

I can get the left side of the drivers side headlamp assembly loose from the retaining bracket, but the right side seems to be locked together with side marker assembly. There must be a trick to unlocking it from the side markers assembly. I don't see a clip. The side marker assembly doesn't seem to detach easily. The two pieces seem to be pinned together with molded pins on the side marker assembly. When I lift up on the headlamp assembly, I can see the side marker assembly retained by the same type of retainer on the headlamp assembly. The only problem is you can't lift the side assembly up. I am trying to this as carfully as possible to not break any of the plastic componets. Thanks |
