transmission issue

Hello, i change the spark plugs on my 1996 s10 4.3. even #5 cyl. I spayed 2+2 carb cleaner down into the throttle body to get rid of all the black carbin build up. now when i start it up and put it in gear it slams in hard. it also shifts at 2500 rpm on the 1-2 shift, and i have no kick down when accelerating hard. i don't see a thottle valve cable to adj the shift points like the 700r4 tranny. what controls the 4L60e tranny shift points

Re: transmission issue

The carb cleaner could have wiped out your TPS sensor.
Did you leave anything unpluged when you put it together?

The transnmission is PCM/VCM computer controled.

You will need a engine /transmission scanner to check it out for codes and sensor operation.

Watch and check the tps reading real close.
And post back any codes.

Re: transmission issue

What was the code no.

I think you have found the problem.
A PROBLEM DOES NOT ALWAYS TRIP THE ENGINE LIGHT REAL FAST.
Does the check engine light come on for a bulb test when key is first turned on?

Fix the tps sensor/code and let us know how it goes.
