High-Tech Trickery Or Real Deal?

This is some truly cool RC work or some realy good video trickery.
I talked to the guy that I think my have built it an I definitely no he shot the video an edited it. I told him I thought he used some Micro motor's and the line's are ran through some small diameter tubing, that you can see in his image section. and you have hid thim in the trunk under the two brown hump's and behind the mirrored wall. Now I had to ask how did you hid the Receiver and the Transmitter an batteries. Then I told him I see you sale video how to's you could make a lot of money doint a video of this RC model.
He told me he was not goint to do any video of how to do this but I could buy a video of some old and out dated stuff. So I said but you said you want to Bridge the gap between static Models and working.
Well I told him I would try to build one for my self an talk to some guy that know a thing or to on RC stuff to help me out. My be If I can get it right I my just make my own video an sale it to the public. opcorn: I have yet to get a reply.

Ray that's what I think, but I'm goint to build one just like his but mabe I'll use a '65 Impala. As for the working A-arms I know I can do all the working parts but as for the RC stuff
There is a way to do a video like his, this is how i'll do it once I get the model done I'll make it tite at the joints so it can hold it self up a little then fall. Ok now wile I'm doint that I will be shooting it (Video) at the same time. Now here's the fun part after all the shot's are done I will need to run all the clips in reverse an slow the stream down and loop some together. Once I get all that done I'll see if I can put up a clip for you all to see.
Oh yah one more thing when I was talking to the guy on his car he kep putting up smiley faces. that's when it hit me that there's some thing rong here.

How To DVD volume 1 will not cover RC lows or any of this high tech stuff. It will be about the basics of putting together a line controled hopper/dancer car inc. some new techniques. It will be for sale spring 2008.

There are very, very small servos on the market for small RC cars and planes and whatnot. These draw very little power, and would fit with a battery pack and small receiver in the trunk of something as big as a 64 Impala. Since the hydraulic operation doesn't amount to much more than a rod pushing down from the frame into the suspension, I don't see why he couldn't have used a small servo to actuate the rod through a tube, giving the look of a scale hydraulic set up.

Obviously, something like this would be far beyond my practical ability, but I don't think it's so far out of the realm of possibility?

On second viewing, I don't guess there's room for servos and whatnot, so just kidding. But there is a lot of space in the cowl and between the rear seats and the trunk for him to use his more conventional methods (still beyond me), so I suspect no high-tech trickery or witchcraft.

LOL witchcraft!! An still I ask how did he hide the Receiver and the Transmitter. Do they now make these two items in a micro size and the chanel Receiver is some thing big and the only place to put it is behind the rear seat'd I did some diging of my own an there are now on the markit micro motors that you can put small diameter wire or string and run through the tubing but the set up will only alow you to move the model up an down. now if you do a two motor set up you can pull off a frount to back motion. but that side to side 3 wheel hop "NOPE". I have a friend that told me there is a way to do all that stuff,you would have to change the setup just before you shoot the video.
So he told me look at the image of the car from the frount you can see small screws. That way you can open up the model from time to time you can just change you setup to make it look like the car can move like a real one. Just loop the video clips together.
Well one I get all my othere project done this build will be the number one on my list to do. An this also means doint a video to. (Wish me luck.)

A few years ago I got into micro planes and copters. Back then they had four channel receivers that were small as a dime!!! Look around and you can find it. They even have micro servos that are simply coils and magnets. I doubt they could lift this model though. Still, when I raced Micro RS4's I had a micro servo that was about the size of my thumb from the knuckle up and they were strong as heck. It can easily be done.

I'm going to look in to that. If you can, can you put up a pic of one of those "micro servos" next to some type of coin (For size) that you where talking about.
I guess if they(Japanese) can make a receiver that small (There mabe a way). Thank's for the info. Well If I can find any of this stuff I wll build the car on AF and like mini of my other builds I will show how I do it.

Still not convinced that there's no trickery involved in making that video...
It's all real, no tricks, no stop motion the car does what I claim it does.
Many people saw this 1/25 miniature ride live in action at the Las Vegas Lowrider Super Show in October and they were just as suprised as you. I will release a video of that car show soon.

It's all about doing research, engineering, trail and error and the will to make it happen. This was just a testcase to see how it performs and holds. The next ride I'm going to build will be able to roll and steer as well.
The trunk is almost completely empty, under the battery covers there's nothing but two chuncks of lead to make the rear heavy enough the have it drop into 3 wheel.

By the way it's not so cool to call the work I'm going to display in my upcoming How To DVD old and outdated since you didn't see any footage of it yet and I doubt you ever build a working lowrider model car yourself.
The DVD will be for everyone that wants to start out creating lowrider model cars and learn the basics which will be very helpfull if you want to proceed and work on more advanced models. More info on this project will follow soon.
