Re: Garage Diorama meet!

Not sure it counts, since it's a diorama of the outside of a garage, and it's still a WIP. Anyway, here's mine:

Not terribly detailed, but purposely so. I'm considering adding a window with wheels, exhausts, and other parts in it so it looks more like a tuning shop.

Re: Garage Diorama meet!

that's the beautiful part of it! I've got to thank the spiders and leaving it out in my 'real' garage for inspiration while I build...ha ha

When the dust first developed, I thought it looked cool so I left it out to see what would happen.

Re: Garage Diorama meet!

ha ha ha

Yeah, i'm not gonna try lifting up the cover on the car, they might just be small enough to live there, in scale. ha ha

Great idea for starting this thread, I love diorama sets of all kinds, I'm anxious to see some more cool builds!

Re: Garage Diorama meet!

It's a sheet of styrene (evergreen) that has a tile pattern in it. I really like the clean, modern build you did, I want to build a diorama like that sometime soon! It really makes the builds come to life. Do you make all those tools? very cool and nicely detailed!
I'm working on a corvette funny car right now and I wish I had a diorama to set it up in for display!

So tiny! That's extra impressive! Very nice work on it. I got the materials for mine at my LHS, and it's all Evergreen. The plastic sheets come in architectural shapes; walls are corrugated aluminum, and the garage door is board-and-batten, I think. The door frames are just some L-girder or channel or whatever you call it. I don't remember what sizes I used, I just got a couple and eyeballed it, and now if I want more to match I take some with me. The ground is a couple linoleum floor tiles from home depot, I think it was kunta who took some pictures on his roof and gave me the idea.
