can anyone tell if this is 89 or 91?...

im lookin to buy a 91 gauge cluster with tach to fit into my dx as im sure many of you have done before.

ive been offered this one from a scrappy in london, but i need peoples opinions as to whether it actually is a 91 or not. i cant really tell....

also, is £37.60 a good price which includes VAT and postage? thats about $60. sounds a bit steep, but then i imagine postage would be a lot cause its quite heavy.

Not sure if it's a 91, but the price sounds reasonable.

I know the siR Civic and CR-X share the same clusters, maybe some one can confirm from the pics of CRX clusters here….

ITS AN 88-89 CLUSTER B/C IF YOU LOOK AT THE SEAT BELT INDICATOR ON THE ONE THAT LITTLE BURNER POSTED AND THE ONE ON YOUR GAUGE CLUSTER...YOU CAN TELL THEY'RE DIFFERENT....THE 90-91 CLUSTERS HAVE THE BIG SEATBELT LIGHT WHILE THE 88-89 HAS THE SMALL LIGHT

I know on the sedan, the 88-89 has kind of a honeycomb pattern in the redline, whle the 90-91 is a solid color.

OK - the sure-fire way to tell if it's a 88-89 or a 90-91 cluster is to look at the Temperature and Gas gauge area. The one in the first two pics has four screws around the edge by those gauges. The 90-91's don't have any screws. That is an 88-89 cluster...100% sure.

PS- I'd believe me...I have both a 89 crx si and a 90 crx si (both with original clusters).

hey sammy- yeh we haven't talked in a while...i've been busy w/ school and other shizznat. We've been waiting for it to hit a consistent 35 degrees to start the massive transfer. i'm working as much as possible..and my tax return is for $350... So I'm going to be getting new 90-93 teg axles...and probably a DC sports 4-1 ceramic coated header. I ripped off the "crap-tezzas" that were on the 90 and put on some stock 90-91s that i recently acquired...looks sooo much better. I also have it on four jack stands and all the wheels are off...and it's all set to rip appart the suspension. I'm waiting on my 91 crx si stock suspension that i won off ebay to arrive still (i need the struts). I also removed all the gay stickers on the car.
I'd for sure be down for a midwest meet. I hope that it isn't too soon- so i can roll in the 90, instead of the bumblebee. Oh ya- over the weekend I raped the living crap out of this 88-89 Si hatch w/ a B16 swap. It was great. Alright talk to ya laterz

thanks folks. i woulda been able to check if i hadnt taken my 89 cluster back to my parents house at the weekend. doh.
well, i bought one from someone else today for £30 instead, they were adamant it was from a 91 gl so i thought id give it a whirl.
i coulda put the 89 one in, but i dont like the idea of having the gap at the top.
