Question 1993 F-350 4x4 Engine Swap

I have a 1993 F-350 crew cab 4x4 with a 351 & C6 trans. I would like to swap in a 460 with an AOD, My big question is,What are the things am I going to need, ie: Cross member, Motor mounts. Do I need to change the CPU.
My DMV said that I could do the swap as long as the Engine that I use has to be a 1993 or newer and I must keep the EFI. Can anybody offer any help.
Thanks

Re: 1993 F-350 4x4 Engine Swap

for the engine you will need to change to ecm and to do the trans you will not need much as long as you put in an aod not an aode but the two motors should have pretty much the same harnesses and the same emmissions stuff, you may run into different plug ins on a few things but it should be pretty easy, you will probably have to have a differnt radiator(thats alot more motor to cool) the differnce in the trans may affect driveshaft legnth so you may have to legnthen or shorten your driveshafts. you may have a few things to figure out but for the most part it is all small stuff.
