Interior heater/AC fan squeak
Does anybody know if the interior cab fan on a 2002 yukon can be serviced i.e. lubricated, to stop a squeak/squeel sound? If so, how do you get at it? Thanks

Re: Interior heater/AC fan squeak
it sounds like you'll have to replace the fan motor. it's located under the dash on the right side. there is a few screws that hold the lower trim panel on and then a cover over the motor. the motor assy. is not screwed into anything it has a lock tab that needs to be released and the motor will need to be turned by hand about a half turn. the motor will drop right out after the wiring is disconnected. i just did this on my 02, i bought a new fan assy. off e-bay for about $65 shipped. Good luck.
