Welcome to AF.

When was the last transmission service - screen filter and ATF?

DTC P0742 is basically Torque Convertor Clutch (TCC) Stuck On when commanded off. When it sets it commands the TCC on at maximum capacity which explains your symptoms. Typically not a PCM module (computer) problem.

Put one can transx in ran and pulled filter and fluid ,new filter with two 24 oz. bottles ok Lucas trans treatment and new fluid runs like a champ so far just normal debris in pan nothing abnormal must have been just some junk floating around inside. Thanks Ethan!
