Question Brake and ABS Lights?

I have 2001 Trailblazer and my brakes have been squealing only when I apply pressure to the brake. Normally they do not queal when braking hard. They also do not squeal when driving. In addtition, yesterday my brake and ABS indicator lights started flashing when I drive forward only. If I stop or reverse they go away.

I know I need to replace the pads and I am doing this tomorrow, however will this fix the ABS light problem too? There is no grinding or rumbling etc noise so I think my disc's are okay (I will check tomorrow to be sure).

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Brake and ABS Lights?

When replacing the pads, always resurface or replace the rotors and replace the hardware. The flashing lights will require the use of an ABS capable scan tool to locate the problem.
