PLZ help need to get my window up w/o switch!

Ok i have a 98 4-door grand prix and the switch to the window went out so i can only roll down the window. I had this fixed once and the mechanic took the plug from the back of the window switches and crossed some wires and rolled up my window, i cant figure out what wires it was there are 5 i believe. Any help would be great i live in MN and its freezing!

Re: PLZ help need to get my window up w/o switch!

Which specific window?

Double check your wire color coding to be sure but on the switch there should be a yellow color coded wire which is the 12 volts from the power window circuit breaker. At the window motor there are two wires a brown and blue (either light or dark blue). Brown is down. The blue is up. Look for these same wires on the window switch. For example if it is the driver's side window jump the yellow wire to the blue either at the switch assembly or motor. Window should go up. If not try the brown wire.
