Blower module

Well, now the heater runs constantly. I am told it is the blower control module. However, when I go on line to order one it shows a single and three pin module and a double and four pin module. My car has the double and four pin module but the plugs are only single wire and three wire. Whats a guy to do? The double and four pin module is $80.00 more that the single/three pin module. Does anyone know if I can go with the single/three pin module? Napa Auto Parts doesn't even show the double/four pin module as an option for my car.
here is a website that shows both modules:

Long ass addy!

Thanks

Re: Blower module

We can not help you unless we know the year of your car! Also, is the system digital auto climate control (ACC) and does it have passenger side control? What is the SPI code on your system, C68 or CJ2? Usually, this code is found on the spare tire cover if you have a PA. BTW, let me know if you want a new ACDELCO BCM for 1/2 the price of the ones in the link above.

Re: Blower module

Oops, its a 1992 and it has passenger side climate control. The C68 or CJ2 I don't know but can find out by tomorrow. I sold the car and told the new owner I would install the new module when I get it. Do you need to know wether it is a C68 or CJ2 ?

Thanks

More than likely, you have (CJ2) since you have both, digital ACC and auxiliary control. (Passenger controls) This combination would require the 4 pin – 2 pin combination! Listed below are the descriptions and part numbers for both. Using my source, you can get a new ACDELCO 4-pin 2-pin BCM for 99 bucks. The 3-pin 1-pin combination runs 80 bucks. Let me know if you are interested & I will send you the info via PM for ordering & usually shipped to your location within two days.

This is the one you want:

With RPO A/C FRT AUTO/AUX CONT(CJ2) ^ A/C AUTO ELEC CONT(C68) 4 PIN/2 PIN CONN
85 86 87 88 89 90 91 92 93 BLOWER MOTOR CONTROL MODULE GM
CHEVROLET CHEVY BUICK OLDSMOBILE CADILLAC DELCO NEW AC A/C
DELCO # 15-72530
Gm # 12484912

The one below will work, but not with (CJ2)
the way it was designed.
(Auto fan speed control will be effected)
With RPO A/C AUTO ELEC CONT(C68) 3 PIN/1 PIN CONN
92 93 94 95 96 Blower Control Module
Delco 15-8548
GM 12368389
