The Great Migration

Okay, well not really -great-. But it is a migration, Some of you know that I have been planning a move to Florida for a long time. Well it has finally happened. (Also why I have been quiet as of recent) I write you currently from Dallas, TX where we have taken a rest from our(my) driving to visit with my woman's family. We left San Diego on Friday the 21st and spent Christmas in a small town in New Mexico. We are now making happy trails towards Florida and expect to arrive Saturday.

To give you an idea of the -fun- I am having I will propose a picture of what I am driving cross country in at breakneck speeds.

Needless to say, I have been bashing my head against the dash.

Along the trip I had an idiot of the month experience. I went to vatozone to get some spark plugs for the above car. The guy behind the counter said he was a "honda certified tech" who just got out of honda school in "japan" all of this after he tells me has a Lsvtech swap(right after I mentioned it of course), he then proceeds to tell me that he has had the same spark plugs in his car for 112k miles. After which he told me that my girlfriends car ( an 04 LX SoHC non-vtec) was a Vtec car, and that honda doesn't make non-vtec cars any more. (Of course the mighty users manual proved him wrong) I wanted to face palm him right there at the counter.

Anyway, I hope every had a good Chrismas, I got a golf bag!

Cheers

-Wil

I posted up an ad in classifieds. But I'm moving to the Space Coast, Melbourne to be exact. But I am willing to drive for a car.

It's right near Titusville and Cape Canaveral, yeah DeLand is in the Orlando area isn't it? About 45 minutes from Melbourne.

We arrive on Saturday, well hopefully. We are only 17 hours from FL right now, but instead of rushing to do it all in one day we are going to just take our time and split the drive up between two days.

Re: The Great Migration

Right, its avtually an hour and half cause I'm 25 min from Orlando. But yeah 17 hrs is way too long to drive in one shot. I made it to Lafayette, LA in 11.5 hours, dropped some friends off and came right back. 24hrs nonstop, man the exhaust gave me headache for atleast 3 days afterward.

Sweet dude... I was actually thinking earlier tonight that I hadn't seen any signs of you or Shpyder lately... You should have let me move into your old place out there. I am sick of all this snow and cold here. lol
