Alpine type r's 6x8 problem helpppp

I was wondering cause im getting a good deal on type r's (5x7, 6x8) for my 97 si, i believe i have 6x9's in the back will the 6x8's fit without cutting and removing stuff ?

I would think a 6X8 would fit in a 6X9 slot with little to no modifications

You'll need to do somethign about that extra 1/2 inch on the sides. I'd suggest a custom baffle out of MDF wood.

depending on how it fits, you may not need anything at all. Best thing to do is just take the old ones out and see how the new ones fit.
