Golf Mk4 3 door conversion

I finished the R8, so I can start a new kit.
It will be the Tamiya Golf 4, the model is the 5-door model and I will convert it to 3-door.

This is how the model is right now:

I also made some blueprints and printed them in scale to get the exact shapes:

Re: Golf Mk4 3 door conversion

I don't know the color yet, I think red or silver.

I managed to finish one side:

Re: Golf Mk4 3 door conversion

I've been working on the Golf.

I've done the otherside, I only have to make the panel lines on the that side.

I also maged to modify the interior to the 3-door model.

I sanded the old mouldings off and carved new in it.

The seats are also modified to lean more to the back.

Here are the pictures:

And the modified interior:

And another picture of the style i'm going for:

Never seen so many WIP about volkswagen kits at the same time on AF

Good job on the conversion, I'm sure it will look perfect once finished. I do like what you build, we have the same idea of style

Are you planning on debadging the grill on your kit? You should, I think the car would look even cleaner!

I don't know yet.

I probably will, just have to think how I can do it the easiest way.
