EFI conversion?

I was wondering how much work is involved in putting the Fuel injected 350 out of an 86 IROC camaro into a 1980 monte carlo (originally carburated)? I intend to buy the whole IROC as a donor for engine, tranny and rear end if the conversion isn't to hard. Also how quick do you think the carlo would be in the quarter with the 220HP, 320Ft/Lbs 350, a 700r4 and a 3.27 Posi rear end? Any ideas would be a huge help.

How easy? Fairly easy, if you're getting the entire car, that means you've got everything you need to make it work.

You need obviously the Motor...and the TPI unit, wire harness and computer. You're smart taking it all from one car. they made several versions of the TPI system that if you try to piece it together from several cars it can be a real nightmare to get it to function correctly.

as for how fast... i'd say with a rough estimate..... low 15s to high 14's doesnt sound tooo unreasonable for that size car and powerplant.

Good luck, feel free to come back and as more 'go-faster' questions.
