Another Strange Transmission problem

I have a 1995 Chevy S10 Blazer, 4WD, 4.3 vortec, 2 Door. The vehicle is an automatic and for the last 2 weeks I started noticing that when I was driving it, It hesitated shifting into 3rd and 4th gear, and just the other day it stopped shifting into 3rd and 4th completely! I can manual shift starting from 1 and going to 2 but when I go to D or OD it just revs like it's in Neutral, It will do the same thing when I take off in OD or D, It makes it through 1st and 2nd but just won't go into 3rd and 4th, it's very frustrating cause I can't drive over 35-40 mph without it revving high as expected, I was told these Transmissions have electrical parts to them..but I never heard of such a thing...what could be the Problem???

Welcome to AF.
Yes the transmission is computerized and computer shifted.
It could be a solenoid or shift solenoid or wiring problem or a major internal problem.
You will need to get it on a good transmission/engine capable scanner to test and check it out and check for codes.
Any check engine lights on?
A good transmission scanner will give you a lot of info on the transmission.
If any codes post back code no.

Other things to check for is fluid level and filter and fluid condition.
How many miles on it and has the filter and fluid ever been serviced.
And remember a engine has to be running right for the transmission to work good.

Thanks for the reply! There is no check engine light on, It has about 190,000 miles on the motor and transmission so that worries me, but it has done good for having that many miles...I'm just hoping it's nothing major. Thanks very much and Merry Christmas.

The only good additive is no additive just a pan drop and filter change.

Additive should not be used or is needed in a good transmission.

Only the ones on the last leg that you are trying to get a few more miles out of.

There is no way additive is going to fix a dead sensor or solenoid or wiring or pcm problem.
