Front Shocks/springs
Hello,
I have a 98 towncar with 152k, i bought the car with 132k and it only had 2 owners and the engine and tranny is in perfect condition, since i bought i replaced both rear airbags and the suspension air compressor, now my problem is in the front, everytime i go thru a speedbump sounds like metal scrubbing against each other and is loud and i really dont like that, i want to start by changing front shocks and maybe the coils but do the coils loose traction or pressure? also i heard sensa-trac 5960 are pretty good, does anybody have these? and last my check engine recently turn it and i resert the battery and it always comes back 2 days after reset, i went to napa and connected the code reader but my cars plug is not recognizeable, can this be replace, or is there any other way i can read the code? thanks again |

Re: Front Shocks/springs
If the shocks have never been changed, it's time. I would not think the coils would need changed, but I'd get under there and see if I could find what's rubbing.
I go to AutoZone for code reading. Mine is a '95 and the code readers work on some of them and on some they don't. On mine they do. There should be no problem reading the code on a 98.Hope you had a wonderful Christmas.
