Overheating Problems b16a CRX

So far I have replaced Headgasket and waterpump while I was in there, Themostat, radiator, Coolant lines & Coolant temp sensor. It doesn't over heat right away. The needle will stick around middle of the gauge for a bit then just go up to hot. It will blow the coolant right out of the overflow bottle and then I have to refill it. when I do it takes about half a gallon. When the gauges reads hott it does't flicker at the top. When its really* over heating like when theres a bad coolant leak the gauge will go up and down sorta like a tach when you hit the rev limiter. I did a block check so I know its not a head gasket. The gauge just reads hott. For it to overheat it has to be mechanical so I am guessing maybe an impeller broke off the water pump. I replaced the coolant temp sensor twice. I get some heat thats not too hot but after a hard run it blows out freggin cold. I don't think its electrical. I am guessing maybe a coolant temp switch? I am thinking of replacing the water pump again. I know that the themostat isn't in backwards. I see it as a hard on going into the block. I know the shaft looking side with the spring goes towards the block but i am not sure on a honda. My idle goes up really high like to 3k but thats just prob the coolant temp sensor reading open loop again cuz it doesn;'t read coolant cuz it blew out and has a air pocket in it, therfore it will kick the idle up cuz it thinkgs the engine is cold. I dunno I thought I'd give it a shot here cuz I can't figure out wtf it is. My climate control panel is smashed in typical for a crx. I got all my parts for a 90 integra. Could it be possible to use a thermostat from a delsol? I dunno what else to do any input from you guys is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

check under the car, and see if there is a coolant leak from anywhere. also does it smell like coolant in the car, it could be the heater core leaking, cause that might cause an overheating prob. also you say coolant lines, did you replace all the coolant lines ? like heater hose, upper and lower radiator hose

yeah there are no leaks under the car and no leaks and no leaks at any of the coolant hoeses such as unper and lower radiator hose and heather hoses. Its not the heather core cuz the inside isn't wet. It just keeps boiling out the bowl. I'm bringing in the shop I work at today and replacing the water pump cuz thats the only thing it is coming down to. I'll try and take the thermostat out and drive it like that and see if it over heats then. Thanks for your help.

before i changed the water pump again. i would check the thermostat. i have had more problems with buying a bad thermostat then a water pump. you could also have a clogged radiator core. did you flush or did you take it somewhere and did you get it pressure checked?
now i have a questions: is the fan electric, another words only comes on when hot?
if it is one of the ones that is always on, when engine is running. then i would do this. find out what your thermostat opens up at, normally 185 degrees. then go buy on that opens up at 165 and 195.
i had this same problem living in las vegas with a datsun B210. the reason i am telling you to buy both, they are only 6 bucks each and you don't know which your car will need. the 195 thermostat will allow the water to stay in the radiator longer to get cooler, but will let the water stay in engine block longer. the 165 opens sooner to allow cooler water to continously circulate the engine block. however, this may not solve the car over heating. it is only a temp. fix until you figure out the real problem. i did this for 3 years. then found the real problem.
okay, now more technical. check the fan pulley and the tension of the fan blade. keep an eye on the fan pulley while the car is heating up. it could be freezing up, which makes the fan not turn at the correct velocity. then check the fan blade itself. if it does not have some tension as you spin it by hand it is bad. if you don't understand the tension part with the fan blade. go to the auto store and ask them for a fan. try to spin it with your fingers. it will turn about a 1/4 of a turn. it has alot of tension.

let me know how it goes. i hope this helps.

LoL this was last year. Came back down to a headgasket after 10k miles. I dunno probably a bad install on my part. And The hondas we discuss her don't have fan pulleys or blades its electric. I know where youre comin from but I knew I fucked it up
