Fuck this shit, im 14 and everyone around me is like ya Good Charlotte is awesome?!?!?! WTF?!?! all (new) punk is garage bands with a cocky guitarist and a womanish singer. Old skool like sex pistols also sucks in my opinion just because it has that stupid "garage band" sound as i would put it. I REFUSE TO GIVE IN TO THIS SHIT, i am sticking with 50 cent, soad, ratm..... I am losing friends because i think punk is shit, like what is going on?!

If you are literally losing friends because you dont listen to their type of music, they were never your friends to begin with. Anyone who will treat another person differently because of their musical preference isnt really that good of a friend.

Good Charlotte used to be good. but now all of the little kiddies heard of them, and now they're just...ruined. you know a band is "finished" in my books when my 6 year old cousin can recite the words to one of the songs. anyways, i'm way into punk, so if you don't like it, then go cry under a pillow or something, because nobody wants to hear it. i like punk, you like your music. let it stay that way and don't hate on what other people think. personally, i don't like every band that you listed except for RATM, but i don't come crying on AF about it. live with it.

Look dude, dont get pissed at them for giving their opinions, granted they may not be the ones you want to hear, but thats how it goes sometimes. You asked what everyone thought was going on, and he just told you what he thought was going on. If you dont like it then dont post a thread asking opinions. just my $0.02.
