Sorry to tease you guys, but.
I cut out the trunk on my impala and "hinged" it so to speak. It's really sloppy right now, but I melted a piece of transperant plastic overtop the putty and the metal tubing to be molded on the inside of the trunk door and painted. I am getting my film developed to morrow so I can give you an idea of how i did it, but for now look at the drawing i composed.

I already got an opening boot! :finger:
Nice work though! I've always wondered what to use to open, an unopened trunk That didn't sound right.

This is how a "moderator" acts???...yikes. I'm glad the model forum moderators are a bit more level headed and mature.

its an AMT kit and the detail and kit are amazing! they packaged it with a thick peice of cardboard under the window frame so it wouldnt get crushed, it has 3 different rim options, 2 different engine options and numerous numerous optional mod items to dispose of. i cant' believe how detailed this kit it. i dont have to sand any of the body either because the bodylines are impecable. i suggest you go find some amt kits, they are doing awesome lately! this impala is better than my tamiya civic i just got....i dont know how, but its 110% better in quality and ease of construction |

hate to break it to you but that is a 62 your trunk idea looks good but you shouldve gone all the way across the trunk and bent the hinges in a u form so that i opens better heres the best i can do to explain it this would be what it would look like sideways(picture the line as if it were on the top of the first bar on the U) u------- heres what it would look like form top view ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! U---------------------U leave the lips on the trunk to keep them from falling through are you adding a sound system in the trunk
