rims..

I was just wondering... when you guys bought sum new rims for your car, did you use the same lug nuts or did you buy new ones? i've got a 95 civic, and i used the stock lugs, and whenever I'm cruisin, all of the other cars i see have smaller lugs then i do, i donno if its just me or what? should I buy sum new lugs?

you dont always need to but i would, unless you want your new rims to become someone elses new rims. for mine i actually had to, i needed open acorn lugs because of the center cap. and youll also want to get wheel locks for a little added security.

Actually most aftermarket rims cannot use OEM lugs. OEM lugs are spherical/ball types and aftermarket wheels use conical (cone) shaped lugs.

Well that picture doesn't help. I tried fixing that photo and it looks to be a conical/cone shape lug. So you can use it on most aftermarket rims. Just don't use them on OEM wheels.

Another thing that lugs do is the odd shaped ones need a "key" a shaped lug for the custom lugs that only they come with being kinda theft proof also you can get color matched lugs.

which is bad. If you notice the Tenzo wheels should use a conical shaped lug, not the spherical/ball shape lugs like OEMS.
