S2000 discontinued?!?!?!?!
a few months ago i went to my local honda dealership to look at the new accord. i asked the salesmen if the S2000 was goin to be redesigned and he said that honda was gonna discontinue it for a few years. is this true have ne of u guys heard this or is this just a rumor. That would be a ashame if that were to happen because of the popularity of the car and F20C engine.

That's what I heard too...I mean, S2000 was brought out w/ the Year 2000 fiscal year, that's over now. I sincerely hope they re-design it.
However, I also heard what you wrote, which is that they will discontinue it a few years, and bring it back later re-designed.

yea i was told it was gonna be resdisgned afer they discontinue it for a couple of years. i have a feeling its gonna look ugly. But hopefully the engine will be redisgned aswell.

I was told that a year in a half ago by the dealer when I bought my civic and it has not happened yet.

i hear it was originally finished after 2000.. then it was 2002.. then it was this year.. now i hear they are gonna keep it.. but keep it in low production.. and give it a redeisgn in 2005.. along with discontinuing spa yellow.. so i can't wait to see what they come up with next.
they also have a modelo version in japan which they are thinking of sending over here.. which offers small visual changes, adjastable front shocks, and some new wheels..

Have you gus ever seen one of these? Its the car that inspired the S2000. If honda is going to discontinue the s2000 it would be awesome if they made one of these. In my opinion that is one of the best looking concept cars I have ever seen.

Wasn't that the actual concept for the s2000? I like it but it still isn't proportioned right, the same problem the s2000 has in my eyes. I like a long trunk on cars.

nice as hell but impractical. With the chrome hood and exotic look people will bitch about it not appealing to adults or some crap.

Heh, well id drive one :sun:. I went on google and searched for the Honda Vivo, thats the name for that concept car.
I have about 20 pics of it on my computer, a few of the interior too. They used redwood or something like that for everything except the seats and guages and the wheel. The car is a hard top comvertable believe it or not, no fabric in the roof to the best of my knowlage. The body was designed by Fiat, but it has all Honda innards. I think it did 190hp. And this concept was built in 1995. Thats what I know.
