I really like it. I found it like two years ago when I was doing a project on propaganda (nazi and allied). I thought it was cool and saved it. Bumped into it again when I was looking to find my old avatar. I still can't find it. Hence...

Somehow I am not sure. I dont recall the US flag looking like that back in the forties. There were only 48 states then and the pattern of stars were different (Alaska and Hawaii were territories then)

What's the flag between Russia (Sorry the USSR then) and the States? And where is Canada? We actually played a major role in WW2.

I'm pretty certain that that is the flag from the 40's. Here's a pic of the current one... It's from Encarta.
See how this one has alternating rows of 6 stars and then 5 stars? The old one had even rows of the same number of stars.

That poster has exactly the right flag for the time. It has 48 stars: 6x8.
My middle school had the same flag hanging in one of the rooms 12 years ago. Apparently that class didn't recognize Alaska and Hawaii! LOL!!!
