Stock HP

For 2002 last year made, I'm not sure of flywheel horsepower but manufacturer hp ratings are as follows. Firebird Formula/Trans Am=310, WS6=325, Firehawk=345. Hope this helps.

For the LS1s it doesn't matter, they all have 340hp they're just rated differently to sell packages.

The 2002 manuals do low 13s or even high 12s.

My friend's auto did 13.6@104mph on my gtech with me in the car.

01Ws6 320.7 rwhp

a4 consistant 13.01..as proven by pontiac performace mag the A4 are 8 out of 10 faster due to consistancy..put a TC and they win everytime the 4l60e plantary ratios are superior

Sady everyone think a 6speedis the more sportiercar..wellhatetobrake it to you the A4 out drag almost all
m6

and you cant outshift a shiftkit or perform trany modsalone that net you almost .8-9with out touching the engine

check my sigand god help the m6 if the Auto has both.. never lost to anM6 everi pul 1.5x 60'times

Firstthe answer toyour Hp /isthey allhpabout the same..the ramairs pick up hp at speedmaking them stronger finishers.

I have ^m very high Hp Nosed strocker motor..and have lost to Auto's with the properset up..it hard tolauch apowerful torquey LS1 at the corrctrpm then try to oushift a shift kit.. it can't be done if the Auto guy has it dailed in.. a 1.5x yeah i've seen it in an Auto only.. you try and modulate even that stock torque and i'll bet you you spin for a least a second..that a loss of 10 cars right off the bat..

Auto is the Way rto go

as Spyke said Pontiac performancemag testeda fully loaded 01-02 engined Ws6 with 2 people in the car a full tank of gas sare and jack in trunk and no tire pressure changes .. and they nailed 13.01 to 13.08 afterlike 10-15 passes.

too bad they never pitted the Ws6 against the new king the 03 SC Cobra .. the Ford guys would have beenin for a realshcock.. as the Ws6 and Firehawk have real ramair were the ss is just a cold air set up to look like ram air

good luck.. rmeber you can mod a autotranny to make your car almost a second faster if you know whatyour doing then add your hp and it s all over

people ar stupid thinking the 3 pedals is a winner .. all top dragger use Auto's 'i wonder why

Mallet'

wow auto is better than manual? err not necessarily better but faster? why is that? i thought manual is the way to go bc u can stay in each gear longer? or is auto only better for the firebirds? i have an integra ... could i make that faster than a manual integra?

Autos are more consistant in drag racing, not faster. They have the torqe converter too as an advantage. Faster is realitive, on a strip the auto will usually be quicker, around a road course with some expirience and I say stick every time.
