Windshield Wipers don't work

It's had this problem for quite a while. I can't figure out what's wrong. When they do want to work the airbag light starts to blink. When they don't work, the air bag light won't come on when the key is turned to on.

Any suggestions?

It sounds like a problem in the body grounds. Check the connections from the battery to the body (the small cable going from the negative terminal to the side of the fender. If that's loose, or rusted, you will lose body functions.

Aside from that, the only other place they come close is in the steering column. You might want to check the connections at the base of the column under the dash to make sure no one has cut into or spliced those wires. The airbag wiring harness is always Yellow and the wipers are a 5-6 wire flat ribbon connector

Thanks for the quick reply. I also noticed how everytime they dont work. There is a relay that makes a winning noise. I can't seem to find it on the internet. It's a Bosch 20/30v the number on the top of it is 12077874.

Theres your problem... here at AF it's a well known proven fact that bosch electrical parts such as but not limited to switches, relays, and solenoids are unreliabe junk. Try replacing it with a new one preferable an A/C Delco brand or equialent.

it is possible the windshield wiper park switch is worn out give the w/wiper assy a slight tap with a piece of wood while the wiper switch is on if they work and continue to work until power removed and then no restart this is your problem. the park switch is internal of the w/wiper assy.........
