The Nasty Interior!!!!!

Hey All,

ok so here is the deal, I got this staright NASTY interior. I think the person who owned this isht before me did not clean it EVER. It is tan colored and it has like this grungy dirt tint to it. I bought some cleaner from the BX and it did not work, it did not even make a little difference. What should I do to make it clean??? Is there some sorta dye I can use to make all my interior maybe a darker color? because tan is straight nasty and holds dirt like its goin out of style!!!!. Well thanks for all the help everyone!!!!!

Goto your local PepBoys / Autozone / Whatever parts store is in your area and see if they carry interior dyes... if not, im sure they can tell you some places that have it... I think like Walmart/Kmart has them over near the model kit cars section usually.

Tape up your interior, and goto town painting it.

no the paint looked fine...it looked like black was the original color of the interior....and i didnt prime it i just washed it down real good about 3 times with soap and warm water to get any armorall or anything off....

and are your seats cloth or vinyl....if there cloth you can get some dye called RiT at like walmart in the fabric section....but you need prolly a big tub that your entire seat can fit in and be completely covered with water........you may beable to put the dye in a spray bottle and just keep spraying the seat over and over untill it's completely saturated with the dye then makesure it stays wet all the time...........

if there vinyl you might wanna ask someone else cause i've never used vinyl dye b4

oh and i'm sure atleast the back of the seat is vinyl and you'll need dye for that too....

got a bath tub? you could lay the seat on its side and fill it up all the way almost........could only do 1 at a time.......i think you have to let the fabric soak for a good while like 6 hours or something i cant remember......

paint was like $3 or something a can at autozone and i used 2 cans and double coated it just to make sure.......but the 1st coat completely covered everything.....and it's pretty thick paint and i didnt manage to make it run or sag.......

i just taped the windshield..i dont have a garage so i had to do it ghetto......

back seats...now thats a problem.....and no the dye will be diluted in water.......but you may have to use bleach to clean the tub..........

If i were you i'd find RiT dye's phone number online and call them and ask....cause you are gonna have to buy a pre-treater wich takes the color outta the fabric.......there might be something you can use that will be easier......

i'll look around for something for you real quick and see if i can find something better......you gonna be online a while?
