what would cause this?
ok, when the car hit approx. 3500 rpm, it acts like it is governed and cuts off, but once below 3500 rpm it goes again, im thinking its either the fuel pump or the filter, what do you guys think?

so you cant go past 3500 at all or can you still go past it but it just feels like it has no power? If you can still go past it but it feels like it's lost power, then try to take off the AIV and thoroughly clean it. The AIV (Air Intake Valve) can cause the 240 to run sluggish.
mellowboy - I see in your sig that you have "RIP EightOhOne." whatever happened to him? I used to see him on here all the time but havent seen him recently. did he get banned or something? same with emadboy.... he turned into a post whore and then just vanished

no, after about 300-3500 rpm it just doesnt accelerate AT ALL, just like a governer that lets you go to a certain rpm then shuts off the gas, i think its prolly the fuel pump or filter, im gonna change the filter tomorrow and see what happenes
