Question Speaker upgrade?

When I replace the receiver in my car I plan on replacing the speakers, but I dont know what the best speakers to get are that will directly replace the stock ones without any modifications to the enclosures, any help would be great.:sun:

JL audio is my preference, but they dont make head units and i think that if you try to match your speakers with your headunit usually sounds the best. dont go crazy with the interior speakers, you dont need to pay a fortune for good sound, its the subwoofer that will really make the difference. you dont have to have 3 15's and make your windows explode if thats not your thing, even a small sub with a good amp will make your music sound ten times better. it takes the bass away from the smaller speakers so the music is more crisp.

i actually never replaced the interior speakers in my car, i just added a Premier head unit with a 12" JL W3 powered by a JL 250/1 amp in the trunk and its loud as hell. unfortunately i feel the need to be louder and make people jealous so in the next week im going to get my hands on 2 JL W7's with 2 Kenwood 1000w amps, hopefully it will crack pavement.

if you lived in my area i really couldve hooked you up because i do car stereos, but oh well.

rockford fosgate is really good, i replaced the speakers in my back window with rf's when i blew the stock ones. and i have 1 12" rf HE running off of a cadence amp. that 1 sub sounds better than the 2 mtx's i used to have. if u go with rf subs, you should get a rf amp too. they sound the best that way. JL is good for subs too, my friend had 3 10"s for a while and they would bump pretty good

rockford is only good if you spend the extra money and go for the good stuff, in which case you will be blown away by the performance...otherwise, it is pretty much overpriced junk

Talking Now your talking to me

:smoker2:
I own my own company and all we do is car audio/video.
The best speakers to put in a Maxima would be either JL audio, Audiobahn,Infinity, or Polk Audio. In that order. And you should go with two 10s instead of 8s,12s, or 15s. also if you wanted to change your head unit, Pioneer makes about the best ones with the most choices. Stay away from MTX, you can blow then too easily, and stay away from ANYTHING that says rampage!
If you want to know more about systems email me. I can make you a deal.

just from my personal experience i would say that fosgate and jl audio are the best subs, and as for door speakers boston accoustics components, but only if you have a sub because they dont deal with bass that well.

MTX speakers or amps don't blow too easily. I have two MTX Thunder6000 12" running with a Bazooka EL1500 Mono Amp perfect sound, a MTX 4122 2-channel 200watt amp running my fronts and my rears and I haven't had a problem with either. Even when I had 2 Thunder4000 I was told that you can hear me 2 blocks away and they had a hole in both subs. I know everyone has a right to their opinion, but I use MTX and they are great and as for going with 10's instead of 12's I disagree again. Also you should go with a seal box not bandpass, don't how good ported sound but seal is great for the space that you have in a Maxima. If you are referring to blowing the subs because of a large amp then you must have used something that put out more power than the JL 500/1 turned all the way up because they can handle the power pretty well. I do agree that JL make great subs and amps especially the 500/1 amp.

as far as speakers go, boston acoustic are the shit, and come at a reasonable price for how good of quality they are...xtant makes hella nice subs and amps, but they're pretty spendy. anyways, that's what i'd do. like i said, rf is only good if you spend the money to get the good shit. but seriously, get xtant subs and amps and boston acoustic speakers, and you will cry it will sound so good
