D16Z6 Air Intake Question???

I just got my D16 in and was wondering which air tube & air box to use because my 88-91 one will not fit. Also, when buying an aftermarket one.... which do I buy 88-91 or 92-95?? I need answers to both asap. running w/ no filter!!!!.... thanks!

I think that an 88-91 civic Si intake will fit because you still use the Si MPFI setup.

I suppose you would use the 92-95 civic EX intake than, but I don't know how well it will fit inside the engine bay.

i think the 88-91 aftermarket intake will work, i don't know about the 92-95 intake. the 4g intake is made for the si, which has the intake manifold in the same spot as the 4g si. so it should work just fine

...does it not fit around the tb or something?

a 92-95 intake is gonna cut straight through the engine bay and will not really work unless you relocate your battery or move it over and jam it up against the radiator support w/o a tie down..

The D16 fits perfect in the bay. I guess I will have to use a 88-91 Si AF intake. Thanks.

the 99-00 si intake is pretty much gonna be the same as the 92-up...its a little bit bigger diameter I believe...but it still cuts straight through the engine bay...so there's gonna be a problem with the battery unless its moved to the back..
