crx hatch

ok....im stripping my car down now to paint it and im taking the hatch off and there is the wires going threw the hatch for the third tail light and the rear wiper and defroster and i cant take it off untill i take those wires out...there going threw a grommet like the door wires but i dont kno what i should.....like cut them or take the hatch apart and disconnect the wires.....i dont kno does anyone kno what i should do cause thats the last thing i have to take off then i can primer the car.....thanks

Pop the grommet out, and then should be able to pull the wires out until you see the clip.

i poped the grommet out and i tried to pull on the wires like both ways and nothing happened....i might just cut them in a place i can get to then sodder them back together i dont kno tho

does anyone have any ideas???has anyone ever taken there hatch off??? i need to do it soon.....what do you think the painter people would do if they were doing it???thanks
