dynamat smell
ive never actually had dynamat, but i had some others including second skin. do they all have that tar smell? are there any that dont, maybe fatmat or brown bread? and if i do put the secondskin in, will the smell go away?

i had fatmat in my old car and never smelled anything...most of it was covered with carpet and the door panels though.....but even in the trunk i didnt smell anything after a couple days.....

it's hard to find a tar based product that doesn't smell like tar .........

i emailed the guy i bought it from, and its supposed to go away in a couple days. guess its a small price to pay for less noise. no biggie

well, yea - that's what I meant ..... the smell should go away after a few days but if the product itself is tar based it will smell like tar. Try opening the car up as often as possible the first few days, that should help too.
