Although the d15b2 has potential...these days swaps are usually cheaper int he long run (HP/$$). I bought a ZC with a blown head gasket, and rebuilt it to stock specs...I prolly coulda bought a b16 for the money I have put into the ZC, but I also now have a 'brand new' engine.

A lot of peeps that do swaps just replace the parts that rot, like timing belt, water pump, plug wires, etc...you can get a ZC that will bolt into your chassis (with a little wiring from DPFI to MPFI)
Or you can get a b-series motor, which cost about the same for a longblock, but you need a tranny, a little more wiring (for VTEC) motor mounts and shift linkage and axles.

If you are gonna dump money into rebuilding, why not rebuild a ZC, b16, or b18?? Some peeps have even stuffed Prelude (h22a) and CRVtec into 4th gen's...we have at least one of each here on AF

There's my $0.02..I feel like I have typed that /\ /\ /\ a million times, but I don't mind helping out the n00bies!

Don't believe the miles. They say 35,000-50,000 but its all bullshit. They say that just to sell. Me i dont' care about the mileage since i'm gonna build it up anyways.

If you rebuild it to stock specs yes. Performance ... not as long as the stock.

OH and on the performance part it'll last but it depends on how well you take care of it also. I would go all motor with fine tuning and it'll last for a good while.

Sounds like a good plan dude....use what's left to buy new plug wires, and a water pump, and belts. - that should take another $150 or so...then you got a few C notes left for shit you don't expect.
