NOW MY QUESTION IS WHAT METHOD IS BEST FOR RECOLORING THE VINLY AT LEAST I THINK ITS VINYL. IVE READ ON THIS BOARD ABOUT PAINTS AND DYES FOR THE VINYL. WHICH IS BEST? DOES ANYONE HAVE A FAQ OR INSTRUCTIONS THEY COULD HELP ME OUT WITH? I DONT KNOW IF IT HELPS BUT THE VINYL IS BLACK/GRAY AND I WANNA GO TO WHITE I THINK DOES THAT MATTER? Go to www.G2USA.com they have some good vinyl dye or so ive heard. Im gonna order mine soon
. Im also heard of SEM vinyl dye. I dont think it really will matter much that your vinyl is black/grey just make sure you get some vinyl prep so the vinyl will "suck up" the dye better and the color will soak in. Good luck with you interior. Im gonna head over to canadian tire soon and grab the stuff I need to start doing my plastic parts. Which method are you using for them?

PAINT WITH ENAMEL PAINT USE 4-5 OR MORE COATS SPRAY LIGHTLY TOO MUCH WILL RUN. SAND AFTER FINAL COAT AND WASH AGAIN 4 SPRAY 3-4 COATS OF CLEAR ENAMEL SPRAY LET DRY FOR A GOOD TWO DAYS TO MAKE SURE THE ENAMEL IS NICE AND HARD. LOOKS GOOD TRYIG PEELING IT OFF SEEMS STUCK THERE PRETTY WELL THE MORE TIME YOU TAKE ON IT THE BETTER IT WILL LOOK DONT TRY TO RUSH |

its not paint on the vinyl part. its "dye" which does just that. it soaks into the vinyl, dying it and permanently changing its color. Nothing is sticking to or on top of the vinyl. The vinyl is now that color. if you cut the vinyl, and looked at it from the side, the color of the vynil would be the color you dyed it. i can push on the vinyl parts all day long, and it'll flex a little bit just like it did before, without any cracking or whatever. basically, the vinyl is just a new color, and thats it.

to use dye, you have to first spray a vinyl/plastic prep solvent onto the vinyl to dry it out. This way it'll suck up the dye sorta like a sponge. once you've done that, then just spray the dye directly onto the vinyl. it'll soak it up just as easy as that.
